March 17 (Reuters) - The Euro 2020 soccer Championship, trumpeted as a continent-wide feast of football to mark the 60th anniversary of UEFA's flagship tournament, was postponed for a year on Tuesday as the coronavirus pandemic claimed its biggest sporting casualty yet. The fate of the 24-nation, month-long showpiece due to start in June, had hung in the balance ever since Europe's domestic leagues shut down in the wake of the sweeping health crisis, which has killed around 7,500 people worldwide.
Burton bounced back at the weekend, as they got the better of Fleetwood after their FA Cup exit to Northampton. Losing to The Cobblers was a disappointment, but on the league front, the Brewers have done well of late, winning each of their last two. They lost to Accrington prior to those wins, but had won two on the bounce before that, so all in all, Nigel Clough's men have started to hold their form well.

Lazio in top form of their lives are into this game after going 5 league games unbeaten, it looks like they have lost the fight for the top position against Inter and Juventus, but they 5 straight won games is a big challenge to both teams showing that they are still in competition to become the Champions. After 17 matches, they have acquired 39 points, scoring 40 goals against 17. This game is very important for them to reduce the points from Inter and Juventus to 3 points.
Apart from their three straight wins, Lille have scored in each of the last four matches. They have scored two goals in four of their last seven matches. They have two straight clean sheets going to the game but have conceded in the remaining four of the last six matches. Lille have four wins and three clean sheets in their last five home matches and have lost just once in their last 12 home matches in Ligue 1, winning nine.
Metz are down in 15th place and only two points above the bottom three, while Lyon are in 11th, six points adrift of the final Europa League qualifying place. It's not been a great season so far for Lyon who have no wins in their last four league games and have now lost nine matches in Ligue 1 this season.
I know Eddie Howe is of interest to the Everton board but getting him mid-season might be difficult. I don't know how David Moyes going back would work, because he was in control of everything when he was there last time. That wouldn't be the case now with director of football Marcel Brands. Duncan Ferguson is a club legend at GoodisonCan Ferguson stake a claim for the full-time job?Toffees legend Ferguson, who played 272 games and scored 72 goals between 1994 and 2006 in two separate spells, takes charge for Saturday's lunchtime home game against fourth-placed Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet both struggled to deal with the forward’s pace. He could have done even more damage had he shown more composure in front of goal. They are playing poorly and will do well to beat an extremely organised defensive Atletico Madrid outfit on Wednesday, further dampening spirits. In an ideal world they will at least have the chance to clinch the title at Goodison Park or at the Etihad Stadium a few weeks later, but it could well be an unglamorous home match with Crystal Palace when they secure the title, leading to Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush being handed (well-washed) onions in the stand to peel in a vain attempt to provide moment of victory with the emotional scene it deserves.
When Mohamed Salah wrapped up Liverpool's 2-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday, the first team-mate to congratulate him was Alisson. The goalkeeper sprinted from one end of the ground to the other before sliding in front of Salah, celebrating his part in the decisive second goal. That's because it was from Alisson's assist that Salah scored. A goalkeeper assist is a rare thing at Liverpool, with this one the first in the Premier League since March 2010, when Pepe Reina assisted against Sunderland.
Meanwhile, all these lads knew that night I had been running around trying to score the winner with the boys. I loved the game. I wanted to stay in it. I loved the camaraderie and the changing-room atmosphere. Whoever stays out gets a game'Early to bed and no alcohol the night before a game? Not on a Wilder team. Well, in the beginning at least. A far cry from the expectations of today's Premier League stars, in his first job as a manager at non-league Bradway FC, Wilder and his assistant would jokingly tell players they had to stay out on a Friday night if they wanted to make Saturday's starting line-up.
Read the full story Big Premier League clubs want 3pm TV ban thrown out The Daily Mail runs with a story that suggests that the big six teams in the Premier League - Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs, presumably - want to be able to sell the rights to their Saturday 3pm games for the next round of broadcast rights sales, affecting the 2022-2025 period.
This looks like being a tie with a few goals scored in it. Olympiakos take on their third English side of the season and have had mixed results so far. It will be interesting to see how the Greeks perform without their roaring fans in attendance. Wolves have had a long campaign in this competition but are favourites to make it through to the quarter finals. Only one of their away games has been lost but they tend not to keep clean sheets. Go for both teams to score in this game.
Hallescher fc and Waldhof Mannheim fc will lock their horns in the evening of today, I chose the visitors to win the game despite their four goals to nil win in their last head to head game I think the visitors are currently in good form than the home team.
Basaksehir are second in the table, only being edged off the top spot thanks to the superior goal difference of league leaders Trabzonspor. They are unbeaten in their last seven matches, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw at Trabzonspor. Alanyaspor, meanwhile, could still conceivably sneak into the title race, only being ten points off the top from their current sixth-placed position.
Seongnam got promoted from the 2nd league level at the end of only 2018 season, so last season was their first after a while in the first league level, and in their last 10 away games in the league they were very cautious and I believe only one or two of those games went with over 2.5 goals scored in them as every point was really important for them to save themselves from the relegation zone. But good news is that the old coach is gone and since January this year a new coach has been installed and there is no way that they remain as defensive minded as in the end of last season.
Moreno has managed to keep his team ticking over since his appointment as they were already in fantastic form before the arrival of the Spaniard. They had won nine of the fourteen final matches under previous coach Leonardo Jardim with them scoring 26 times and conceding 16 goals in this period. They really haven't improved defensively under Moreno yet but he has managed to keep that goal hungry spirit in the side.
From a humiliating 5-1 defeat to champions With matches at home to Freiburg and away to Wolfsburg still to come, Bayern's latest domestic triumph looks relatively straightforward but it required a managerial change to kick-start their season after a poor opening. After an embarrassing 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt on 2 November, Bayern were fourth in the table, four points behind early-season leaders Borussia Monchengladbach.
I wish I had signed that two-year deal'Joel Lynch's contract expired at Sunderland on 30 June. After League One was halted and the Black Cats missed out on the play-offs, the 32-year-old got a call from manager Phil Parkinson to find out he was not in their plans for next season. He has since moved down to London to make life easier for his family. I was initially offered a two-year deal. I thought I'd sign a one-year deal and then sign a new deal after being promoted to the Championship.
Cagliari is a team that once belonged to the group that has the opportunity to qualify for the European Cup next season. However, after 11 games without winning in all competitions, they fell to 11th place in the rankings. Cagliari's form is clearly very problematic.
